Gardens and Parks to visit in Melbourne

What a beautiful place Melbourne is. Everywhere is a perfect place to take photos (according to me :D). I love the air, atmosphere, and all living things like plants that are taken care very carefully and birds that naturally live with no fear of any harm from human beings. In this post I'd like to share my experience visiting few of the parks and gardens in Melbourne.

Royal Botanic Garden

This is a living museum that holds collections of plants for educative, scientific, conservation and aesthetic purposes. This garden is huge! I've been there several times and still find it difficult to get myself out. This is a beautiful garden where you can enjoy your picnic in spring, summer or autumn days. Also, you can enjoy the chill inside it during winter time. It is easy to reach this park because it is just beside the Shrine of Remembrance. You can either walk from Flinders street station, or take whatever trams at stop 13 that goes to St. Kilda road.

This is how the entrance looks like from the second floor of Shrine of Remembrance.

The first time I went there was in winter 2016. It was raining at that time, and of course bloody cold there. Me and my friends walked inside and enjoyed the park because even when it was raining, the park was still beautiful.

Our picnic to celebrate the 1st birthday of Barra (my friend Brima's son) on 2nd January 2017. It was supposed to be summer at that time, but as everybody knows, Melbourne is the city with 4 seasons in a day, so that's how we dress.

This pfoto is taken in winter 2017.

Alexandra Gardens

This garden is located at the side of Yarra river across Federation Square. You can reach it by walking for few minutes from Flinders street railway station. I really like this garden because it is easy to reach and moreover, this garden has the same name with me (lol). I went there in February 2017 when there was a White Night Festival in Melbourne in which they have giants white rabbits made from permeable thick nylon put in the garden. The artist, Amanda Pierra says that those rabbits are 7 meters long :D

Fitzroy Garden

You can reach Fitzroy garden by walking for several minutes from the Parliament station. This beautiful garden is special because it has Captain Cook's cottage in it, complete with a small garden behind it. The house was brought from England to Australia by deconstructing it piece by piece and then rebuilding it in Fitzroy garden. This garden is quite big and has a lot of spot for your photographs.

Carlton Garden

Another beautiful garden which is located close Parliament station is Carlton Garden. This garden surrounds the Royal Exhibition Building, one of the world's oldest exhibition building which was built in 1880. I think every one think the same thing as me that this garden is perfect for taking picture, because every time I go there, there are always couples who do pre-wedding shot.
